Dream Journals

Dream Journals is an art installation which is reflecting my dream world. Long term collected text notes are my thematic fragments for finding a found footage videos. The selection is based on visual similarities and atmosphere. These videos are combined with textures and found sounds. A spectator can't see clean digital image but he's looking through transparent material. The fact that video has not defined start and end amplifies dream aesthetics.
Overview of information resources on biomass combustion

The Bachalor's work is concerned to the mapping of the information resources in the area of biomass combustion. The main aim and theme on wich is the work mainly focused on, is to introduce basic, as well as related information sources, which from is possible obtain useful and valuable datas for any further manipultion together with research of biomass combustion and scene field of energetics, as the integral part. Significant attention in each chapter si aslo put on the gathering practice - oriented and applied informations.

Social Life of Sofie Podlipská

The aim of this thesis is based on historical and archival documents to describe social life of Sofie Podlipská. In the first part of this thesis is described the life of Sofie Podlipská. The further part is focused on her publications and translations. In the main part of the bachelor thesis I am concentrated on her work in associations and lecture activities in some representative woman institutions.
Luxury lifestyle newspaper supplements in the Czech republic

The diploma thesis observes the phenomenon of Czech journal attachements of luxury character in particular supplements ZEN, City Life, Esprit and Proč ne?! These are published together with daily press E15, MF Dnes, Lidové Noviny a Hospodářské noviny. In the theoretical part is first outlined the development of lifestyle magazines and classical daily attachments, because examined supplements are kind of combination of both these media products. The next chapter deals with the media content from the political as well as economical communication, which covertly affects media by means of advertising and public relations and thus shape public opinion according to their own interests. In the end the theoretical part focuses also on definition of advertisement and public relations. The goal of the practical part is to research using the semiotic analysis how the ideology of success is presented to readers, which is in general an attribute of political as well as economical elites. Protectorate magazines and attachments of daily press for children and youth as a tool of Nazi propaganda

The work attempts to analyze manifestations and the possible impact of Nazi propaganda in two stages of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. As to daily press the children's annex of Národní politika (National Politics -the most widely read periodical) and Lidové noviny (People's Press - a prestigious and independent newspaper close to the Castle during 1st Republic) have been analyzed. As to periodicals published during the first phase of the protectorate (until the arrest of Prime Minister Alois Eliáš in September 1941) the magazine Mladý hlasatel (Young Announcer) and Dětská neděle (Children's Sunday Magazine) which began to be published in 1935 were chosen and analyzed. The second phase of the protectorate was tightly associated with the establishment and existence of the Curatorium for Education of Bohemian and Moravian Youth and therefore its periodicals Zteč (Charge), Správný kluk (Good Boy) and Dívčí svět (Girl's world) were analyzed together with Knihovna pro mládež (Youth Library) issued by the Curatorium later. Literary Criticism and Journals 1945 -1948

1 SUMMARY The present thesis deals with cultural and cultural-political journals published between May 1945 and February 1948, as well as polemics that went on during that period. The thesis consists of two interconnected parts - the journals' profiles and the literary-historical introduction that analyzes certain important issues and problems in regard to the journals and selected personalities, placing them in the contemporary social context.
Culinary trend and Czech magazines dedicated to gastronomy in the years 2004-2012

Diploma thesis Fenomén labužnictví a časopisy věnující se gastronomii na území České republiky v letech 2004-2012 is devoted to the questions of publishing gastronomical magazines in Czech republic in the years 2004-2012 and describes the culinary trend which is frequent issue of the Czech media discourse in the year 2012. The first parts of the thesis deal with the sociological perspectives on food, its role within society is explained as well as its ability to produce the meanings and symbols and to express social differentition. The attitude of Czech population towards food and lifestyle is characterized. The following chapter focuses on the culinary trend in various kinds of masmedia content, it reveals the context of the trend, its impact and the way it is represented in Czech republic. The last two chapters of the thesis deal with the gastronomical magazines, which are divided into two main categories according to their content. The current situation on the Czech market with magazines is explained. The final chapter focuses on selected gastronomical magazines F.O.O.D. Apetit and Gurmet which are analyzed from the point of their sections arrangment, graphic design, advertisement and language. Short semiotic analysis of selected articles is presented.
